Path by WaterfallHolistic Living Workshop

More and more people these days are wanting to take more control over their own lives and take a preventative approach to health, rather than wait until something goes wrong, then rely on a doctor or therapist to fix it.

This one-day workshop is aimed primarily at people who are new to holistic living, and want some pointers on how to get started.  You are of course also welcome to attend if you are more experienced and want a refresher, or simply to spend a day with like-minded people.

It's intended to be a fun day, learning and exploring different techniques, hopefully finding some that you'll want to continue using on a regular basis.

These are just some of the techniques I have used myself over the last few years to overcome various health issues, and find direction and purpose in life.  I hope you will find it inspiring, and use it as a stepping stone to a healthier, happier, more independent way of living.

Subjects covered

We will be covering most or all of the following, depending on time and current knowledge/understanding of the group:

  • correct breathing (most westerners don't breathe properly!)
  • grounding - many of us spend a lot of time in our heads, using computers, talking on mobile phones, worrying about all sorts of things - grounding is important to counteract the effects of this modern way of life, and help us to deal with whatever life throws our way
  • meditation - what it is, and different ways to do it.  We will do a variety of short meditations throughout the day
  • chakra balancing (yes, you can do this yourself!) - chakras are vital energy centres in and around our bodies.  We will be working with the seven major chakras, from root to crown.
  • pendulum dowsing - this is a powerful tool you can use to glean information about your health and other issues
  • crystals, trees and other natural sources of healing energy - there is a wealth of healing energy out there for all of us to use, and most of it is free!
  • the healing power of sound - introduction to Himalayan bowls and toning/overtoning using our own voices
  • introduction to EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) - a powerful form of healing that involves tapping on particular pressure points to release blockages, enabling energy to flow freely

Follow-up

This workshop will enable you to start using these techniques in your every day life.  As an optional extra, I offer a Development Circle for any students who wish to have continued support and supervision after attending the Workshop.  In this Circle, we will do more meditations, and spend more time going deeper into the various techniques, promoting increased personal and spiritual growth.

I'm planning to do the next one around April, and more through the year.  If you're interested in attending, let me know and I'll be happy to keep you in the loop when I arrange them.

I normally hold this workshop at either Mer Ka Barn in Aldsworth, Hants, or in East Wittering, West Sussex.  I'm happy to have it in other locations if you'd like me to do one locally to you.
