Your Questions about Workshops

FlowerSo far all questions relate to Quantum-Touch® ("QT").  If you have any questions that aren't answered on this site, about QT or the Holistic Living workshop, or would like clarification, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Can anyone learn QT?

Absolutely.  Children, pensioners and all ages in between have successfully learned QT.  It doesn't matter if you're completely new to healing, or if you've done other modalities before.  You can all learn these techniques to become highly effective healing practitioners.

Is there an Attunement with QT?

No.  We all have an innate healing ability.  During the two-day workshop, you simply learn and practise techniques to develop and use it.

Is QT compatible with other therapies, or medication?

Yes.  QT works extremely well with other therapies, enhancing their effectiveness.  I combine it with EFT and reflexology, and know of therapists who have combined it with osteopathy, chiropractic, craniosacral therapy, massage, acupuncture, Reiki and more to produce amazing results.

It can cause the body to absorb medicines more easily, so before attending a workshop, it's a good idea to check with your doctor as the dosage may need to be adjusted.

Who can benefit?

Anyone can learn QT, and benefit from it.  Whether you will be using it for yourself, friends and family, or as a professional therapist, it will be an invaluable tool.

Is it important to "believe" for QT to work?

No.  From point of view of spiritual belief, QT has no religious connection whatsoever.  It doesn't matter what you do, or don't believe in.

As far as believing that it will work, that doesn't matter either.  Many people have had successful treatments, and learned the techniques, even though they were sceptical about it.

Does practising QT drain you of energy?

Not at all.  Practising QT is very energising – I generally feel refreshed and invigorated afterwards.  We don't use own energy.  You learn to draw universal energy through your body, so you actually benefit as well as the client.

During the workshop, you will also be receiving treatments, as students practice on each other.  You may, therefore, feel tired afterwards.  This is not because of the work you've been doing, but because of the healing you've been receiving.

What do I need to do to Qualify?

To qualify as a Certified Quantum-Touch Practitioner, you need to attend at least two workshops (see below), read the book "Quantum-Touch, The Power to Heal" by Richard Gordon, do a minimum of 60 hours practise and come up with at least 5 insights into using Quantum-Touch (there are examples of these on the Quantum-Touch newsletter, sign up for it on www.quantumtouch.com).  You must also sign the code of ethics, and pay a one-off fee to register as a Certified Practitioner.

To qualify as a Certified Quantum-Touch Instructor, you must first qualify as a practitioner, and attend a total of 4 basic workshops (including the ones you attended to qualify as a practitioner - a maximum of 2 of these 4 can be facilitated video workshops, the others must be Live Basic workshops, with a qualified instructor).  You also need to do at least one of the advanced workshops.  There is a one-off fee to register as a Certified Instructor.

How much does it cost to Qualify?

There's no definite answer to this question.  Quantum-Touch head office like to keep things flexible so you can tailor your training to suit you.  The price depends on which workshops you choose to do.  There are various options available:

Live Basic Workshop (with a Certified Instructor, such as myself)
This costs £230 the first time you attend, and £115 if you do it a second time (you can do them with different instructors if you wish - you still get the discount).  Attending a second time is well worth it, there's a lot to take in over the weekend, and often people get things the second time that didn't quite sink in the first time.

Facilitated Basic Video Workshop
This is a video of a basic workshop taught by the founder of Quantum-Touch, Richard Gordon.  You're unlikely to have a qualified instructor on hand to ask questions, but you still do the practise sessions after watching the relevant sections of video.  This costs £70.  This doesn't count as far as the 50% discount for the Live Basic workshop is concerned.

Supercharging (Advanced)
You must have attended either the Live Basic, or Video workshop before attending.  It's continues from the basic workshop, giving you more techniques to make your healing sessions even more powerful.  This costs £460*.

Core Transformation (Advanced)
Again, you have to have already attended either the Live Basic, or Video workshop before attending this advanced class.  It's a different style of healing, using more of a Yin energy, rather than the Yang of the basic and supercharging techniques.  Very powerful, this takes you deep into a quiet space within yourself where you can encourage healing through releasing, melting and unravelling the cause of the symptoms.  This costs £485*.

Core II (Advanced)
This follows on from the Core Transformation workshop, and you must have attended that first.  It focuses more on clearing blockages, emotional, genetic, allergies etc.  You also do a wonderful technique where you connect with your soul.  This costs £460*.

5 Day Retreat (Advanced)
This is normally held in Hawaii, although it has been held in the UK once and may be again.  You must have done at least the basic workshop before attending, although it's an advantage to have learned the Core Transformation techniques as well.  During the 5 days, you spend a lot of time doing Essence Qigong, and working on perceiving energy.  You also learn various new techniques to add to your healing sessions.  This is non-residential and costs £780*.

One-off Practitioner Fee
This is to cover admin costs at Quantum-Touch head office, where they have records of all students, practitioners and instructors in the world.  As a practitioner, you will be eligible to have a free listing on their website, and support by phone or email at no extra charge.  You also get a discount off certain items from the online shop.  The fee is £125*.

One-off Instructor Fee
As an instructor, you get to list all your workshops on the Quantum-Touch website free of charge, and have password access to update these yourself.  The fee is £185*.

The Cheapest Option
Obviously if you attend all of the advanced workshops, this can mount up to quite a sum (I know, I did it, and it was worth every penny!).  However, you can qualify at a very reasonable rate if you're more selective in your choices.  Please note, I'm not necessarily recommending the following selection over any other, it's just the answer to this particular question.

To qualify as a practitioner, attending a Live Basic workshop, a Facilitated Video workshop, and paying the one-off fee:  £425* + the book (£16.99 RRP, but cheaper online, or from me).

To qualify as an Instructor, after qualifying as a practitioner, then attending a second Live Basic workshop, a second Facilitated Video workshop, the Supercharging workshop, and paying the one-off fee:  £830* (total including practitioner qualification cost as suggested above:  £1255* + the book).

These prices don't take into account travelling costs, accommodation, or other expenses.

Can I do all of my training with you?

I only teach the Basic level workshop.  You can qualify as a practitioner by doing this workshop twice (well worth it, we do cover a lot in the two days!).  However, if you want to do any of the advanced workshops, you'd need to go to another instructor.  There are currently only three instructors in the world teaching the advanced levels (August 2009).

I am running a Quantum-Touch healing circle so you will get continued support after your workshop through that if you wish.  I am of course available via phone or email too.
