Rainbow Living

HawthornOn Saturday 2nd May, I went with friends to a Wicker Man burning ceremony in the quaint setting of Butser Ancient Farm, as part of the Festival of Beltane (May Day).  Although this was originally a Celtic pagan festival, it is now still recognised with activities such as maypole dancing, and Morris dancing.  This was a wonderful family-friendly event, with dancing, folk music, wood-turning, besom-broom making, and other crafts, finishing with the burning of the wicker man at dusk.  I found it very uplifting being in the lovely outdoor setting, with people having a good time in a simple down to earth way.  There was a great sense of community and safety, just the way things should be.  Past wicker-men can be seen on this website - hopefully they'll add a picture of this year's one soon.

Peregrine news for those who are following it - I've been to the Cathedral almost every day checking on them.  The four eggs all hatched - the first one during the Evensong service on St Georges Day (23rd April), and the fourth on Saturday 25th.  They're all doing very well, having almost trebled in size since hatching.  Check out www.chichesterperegrines.co.uk for the latest news and pictures, or pop in to the Cloisters Café to see live footage of the chicks via the nestcam, and the adults through telescopes.  The chicks fledge (fly) at around 6 weeks, and the RSPB will be there until 21st June (which also happens to be my birthday!).

Workshops

I'm looking forward to teaching my new one-day holistic self-help workshop on Saturday 16th.  This will cover subjects such as grounding, chakra balancing, meditation and relaxation techniques, pendulum dowsing and toning.  Great if you're new to this lifestyle, or if you just want to spend a day with like-minded people.

I'm also teaching a Quantum-Touch energy healing workshop on the 30th/31st.  During this weekend, you learn breathing, body awareness and visualisation techniques to amplify and focus life-force energy, which promotes accelerated healing for mind, body and spirit.  We cover hands-on and distance healing, self healing, chakra balancing, toning and more.

Treatments

Treatments available are:

BluebellsQuantum-Touch® energy healing: This is a gentle but powerful treatment in which I use a variety of techniques to raise energy vibration and encourage accelerated healing on all levels, mind, body and spirit.  This can help scoliosis, arthritis, frozen shoulder, sciatica, stress, and much more.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques): This is a  more interactive therapy, involving tapping gently on pressure points along the meridians (energy channels) to clear blockages, allowing healing to occur.  This is ideal for phobias or addictions, but can work equally well on other emotional or even physical conditions.

Reflexology: Relaxing treatment involving massage and pressure techniques on the feet to stimulate healing throughout the body.

You can now have your treatment at Motorvate Healthy Living Centre, Chichester.  There's a comfortable lounge area and a free cup of tea for you here (ladies only at this venue).

I'm also still offering treatments at Hamblin Hall, Bosham - a lovely purpose-built wooden building in a large garden, 3 miles from Chichester.

Both venues are close to train stations and bus stops, and are accessible for wheelchairs.

If you prefer, you can also have the treatment in the comfort of your own home.

Fayres/Taster Treatments

I will have a stall giving taster Quantum-Touch treatments at the following fayres this month:

  • Sunday 10th, Jubilee Hall, Bishops Waltham
  • Sunday 24th, Worplesdon Memorial Hall, nr Guildford

It's an ideal opportunity to meet me if you have any questions about treatments or courses.  See the Events Diary page for more information.

I will also be giving free mini-healing treatments at Hamblin Hall from 1.00-2.00 on Wednesday 20th.  Just pop along, other therapists will be available too.  Donations to the Hamblin Trust welcome.

Love and blessings,
Melanie
