Several of my clients have asked about my history and how I came to be involved in healing, so I've decided to introduce myself. For more information about the services I provide, please see the relevant pages.
I was born in 1972 and have lived on the south-coast of England
for most of my life, in
Chichester
since 1997. I've always felt that there was a spiritual force
guiding me through life, and throughout my childhood my parents
introduced me to various “new age” ideas such as yoga,
meditation, crystals and Faith Healing, so I feel very comfortable with
complementary therapies. I had, however,
always believed that to be a healer, you had to be “gifted” –
born with the ability. I didn’t realise it was possible to
learn to do such a wonderful thing.
I used to go to Jujitsu (martial arts) classes, then early in 2005, my Jujitsu Sensei organised a Reiki course and asked if anyone wanted to do it. I knew immediately that helping people through healing was what I wanted to do with my life.
I heard about Quantum-Touch ("QT") from a friend who has done both QT and Reiki for several years. I spent some time researching these and other forms of healing through the Internet, and decided QT was the one for me. I’m thrilled to be working with such a pure and powerful form of healing. I haven’t changed my mind about wanting to help people through healing - the more I do it and learn about it, the more excited about it I become.
I started
by attending a 2 day workshop at the end of June 2005 and have
since been using QT at every opportunity, on friends, colleagues
and anyone else who asks. I became a Certified
Quantum-Touch Practitioner in July 2006, then qualified
as an EFT Practitioner and Quantum-Touch Instructor, both in
March 2007. I'm very excited to be helping people, and
spreading the word about QT and other forms of
healing.
I have attended the advanced QT workshops, Supercharging, Core Transformation, Core 2, and the 5 day Retreat. I learned lots of wonderful techniques on all of them.
I completed an ITEC diploma in Anatomy & Physiology in September 2007, and qualified as a Reflexologist in March 2008. I'm continually developing my professional skills and knowledge.
I have attended workshops in massage and sound therapy, including toning and overtoning, and use a Himalayan (singing) bowl at home. I also use crystals and regularly do pendulum dowsing for myself.
Since June 2005, I have also been developing my clairvoyant and mediumship abilities, and strengthening my connection to spirit. I've given a few short, informal readings to friends and may offer full psychic readings in the future.
Spiritual development is an ongoing process which continues alongside all other training and professional development that I undertake. It isn't just something I do, it's very much a part of who I am.
Apart from the spiritual side of things, I enjoy various hobbies. For most of my adult life, I've found I need to get out for a walk every day, have a bit of a stretch and get the circulation going in the fresh air, close to trees and nature - sometimes that's just in the local parks, but often it's a couple of hours or so in the countryside, watching birds and wildlife and taking photos.
In
summer 2011, I found another way to enjoy fresh air and nature.
My man, Steve, has got a beautiful classic day boat called
Phoenix. We go out sailing as often as possible in the
summer months, whenever the weather and tides are right.
It's not something that had ever appealed to me before, being
more of a walker and enjoying countryside as much as I do, I
didn't think I'd like being on a small boat for a long time, far
from trees, with no room to walk... I'm actually finding
it exhilarating, expansive and joyful.
Music is another passion of mine, whether I'm dancing (particularly Argentine tango, Lindy Hop, etc...), playing, or listening to live music. I regularly go to local pubs to hear various bands. I also love singing, and started learning guitar in August 2011 so I could accompany myself when I sing, instead of relying on someone else - it's so liberating, I'm absolutely loving it! I sometimes sing and play guitar at local folk clubs, just for fun - everyone else has a turn too, it's a great night out. I was also going to a Djembe drumming group for several months - love the drumming, but that particular group wasn't right for me - going to try another one when I get the time... Meanwhile, I play at home - I do love my drum!
I used to spend a lot of time at the Peregrine Falcon watchpoint at Chichester Cathedral every year from April-July. In the last couple of years, it seems my life has moved on and it's no longer a big part of my life. The project is still running though, for anyone who's interested. You can see amazing pictures of the birds and read about them in a blog at www.chichesterperegrines.co.uk.
