Peregrine Falcons
Chichester Cathedral
West Street
Chichester
PO19 1QB

Organised by the RSPB.  A pair of Peregrine Falcons have been nesting on Chichester Cathedral for several years.

Mum has laid four eggs again this year - due to hatch around 23-25 April.

There's a camera on the nest, filming the chicks as they hatch and grow.  There will be a TV screen in the Cloisters Cafe at the Cathedral every day from 25 April, showing the live action, and clips of highlights.  Later, as the chicks start to fledge (fly) there will be telescopes in the Cathedral gardens which you will be able to look through for amazing close up views of the youngsters and their parents.

The chicks grow very quickly - it only takes them 6 weeks from hatching to fledging.

It's free to attend, and open every day, so do come along.  I'm often around out of hours too, watching the peregrines with my binoculars.  Come and say hi.

One of the regular visitors at the event is talented photographer, David Shaw.  See his website for amazing pics of the peregrines, and a blog with the latest news on our family.  www.chichesterperegrines.co.uk/default.htm

There was an article in the Telegraph in February 2009.  You can read it here www.telegraph.co.uk (assuming it's still available).
